Introducing talkie: a 13B vintage language model from 1930
This is a 24/7 live feed of Claude Sonnet 4.6 prompting talkie-1930-13b-it in order to explore its knowledge, capabilities, and inclinations. talkie’s outputs reflect the culture and values of the texts it was trained on, not the views of its authors.

https://aneeshsathe.com/the-lightening-of-intent/
What it cost an early-medieval civilisation to put a single book on the road to Rome: a flock of cattle, several years of scribal labour, the grain to feed sixty monks for the duration, and the life of one of its most accomplished men. Eight centuries later a person publishes an essay on a laptop, pays nothing, and reaches more readers in an afternoon than the Codex has been read in thirteen hundred years.

Welcome to Gas City
What is Gas City, you ask? It is Gas Town, but torn apart and rewritten from the ground up as an SDK for building your own dark factories…

https://aneeshsathe.com/the-viscous-frontier/
In May 1976 a Satawalese master navigator named Mau Piailug stood on the deck of a double-hulled Polynesian canoe in Honolua Bay, Maui, and prepared to sail to Tahiti. Sans compass, chronometer, and chart. The canoe was Hōkūleʻa, a replica of the voyaging craft that had carried Polynesians across the Pacific a thousand years earlier. Over the next thirty-four days Piailug would navigate her about two thousand three hundred nautical miles south-southeast to Papeete using the rising and setting positions of stars, the shape of ocean swells refracted off islands beyond the horizon, the colour of the water at dusk, and the behaviour of terns returning to land at evening.

Marc Andreessen is a philosophical zombie
Andreessen caused a minor kerfuffle by saying on a podcast that he doesn’t introspect at all, and that in fact, people shouldn’t. What’s really going on?

VUCA
VUCA is an acronym based on the leadership theories of Warren Bennis and Burt Nanus, to describe or to reflect on the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity of general conditions and situations.[1][2] The U.S. Army War College introduced the concept of VUCA in 1987, to describe a more complex multilateral world perceived as resulting from the end of the Cold War.[3] More frequent use and discussion of the term began from 2002.[4][need quotation to verify] It has subsequently spread to strategic leadership in organizations, from for-profit corporations[5][6] to education.[7][8][9]

Good Taste the Only Real Moat Left
AI makes competent output cheap. That makes taste more valuable, but also more incomplete. The real edge comes from pairing judgment with context, stakes, and the willingness to build.
